He was the Provincial Rafting Regulations Officer prior to starting Destiny River Adventures.  Jim is the Executive Director of the BC River Outfitters Association and the International Rescue Instructors Authority, as well as a director on the BC Wilderness Tourism Association Board.

General Manager

Darlene has been with Destiny River part-time since it all started.  She has worked in a variety of tourism operations and has returned as the full time general manager (but you may still find her driving the bus and loading rafts....).

Guide

Brandon had his first rafting trip when he was 3 years old.  He has been actively working with Destiny since 2000 running gear boats and support services until he was certified as a guide in 2004.  Brandon has a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering from UW and is currently working on his Masters.

Guide

Scott started guiding with Destiny in 2009 and will be guiding regularly for the 2010 season. Scott spent most of last winter in Panama so he is still getting used to the colder water here again.

Guide

Kaitlyn completed her guide training with Outward Bound and has been paddling back east for the past few years.  She has started guiding for Destiny now that she has completed the exam requirements to guide in BC.

GIT (Guide in Training)

Erik has just started guide training with Destiny in 2010.  He is a member of the Campbell River SAR team and is keen to achieve his guide certification.

Master Guide & Trip Leader

John has been guiding since almost all the rest of the crew were babies.  He is a avid kayaker and comes out to play on the river with us for guest appearances as our witty and sarcastic elder stateman.

Driver

Dean joined Destiny as our main bus driver in 2008.  Dean has recently moved to the area and really enjoys the fun crews we get on our rafting tours. Ask him how the swimming is at the Nimpkish take-out....

Driver

Doug joined Destiny as a driver in 2010.  He worked with us on the 2010 Olympics and is an avid fisherman and hunter.

Office and Operations Support

Alicia provides office and operations support for the entire crew.  From taking reservations to washing gear she picks up the slack and ensures that it all runs smoothly.

Security

Rio works for food and enjoys hanging out with the crew at the rafting centre!

Photographer

Stef has been joining our tours for 6 seasons now and does an amazing job of providing high quality images for our rafting friends.  She is most comfortable with a camera in her hands....
